when i accelerate/decelerate to about 43-53mph my truck starts making a weird wooooooooing noise
it sounds like its comin from the passenger side engine bay or maybe from the tranny
its a 97 ram 1500 2wd with 114000 miles on it
not that i can think of but every once in a blue moon it might vibrate very little when it is fixin to shift
I am assuming this is an atuomatic? If so I would have the transmission looked at.
My dad had a D100 in the 80's model....and it would make a similar noise when it was ready to shift....he put probably 4 or 5 transmission's in that truck before he got rid of it.
Damn! I have the same year and style truck. I just started getting the same noise, but my truck has a manual transmission. I am not sure if it's coming from the trans or not.
I'd check the plenum gasket. I've also had ignition noises like that when the wires, cap, and rotor were going bad. Don't know what caused it, but the tune up make the sound go away...
