in reguards to the detroit truetrac, is this something that someone can put in themselves, or does the truck need to be taken to a shop?

If you have to ask I'd probably take it to a shop. Thats just my opinion not trying to be mean. If you know how to do rear end stuff you can do it ourself. Me personally I'd take it to a shop as I don't have a clue what I'm doing back there when it comes to anything more than changing the fluid.

I would not do it your self, you have to reset the gear backlash.

Its fairly picky, too loose and you have a slam when it shifts and you let off the gas, too tight and your gears will wear out, casue heat, ect ect...

yeah, thanks. I've never done any rear end work, so that's probably the way togo.
