Default Anyone seen the "new" mobil one oil?

Mobil 1 has comeout with a new marketing ploy. 0w20 and 0w30 oil they're labeling as more fuel economical:

isn't 0 weight oil a little light for a truck?

I saw it in walmart last week. It says 0w30 but offers the protection of 5w30 and 10w30. If you read the fine print on there website. It is the same oil they have been already distributing just in a new package to do just what PA said, take your money. Check it out here http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/...#Mobil_1_FAQs2

Straight out of the FAQ section

Q. Haven’t you been offering Mobil 1 0W-20 and Mobil 1 0W-30 already? What’s different about Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy?

A. They are the same formulations as the products marketed prior to 2008. As the importance of fuel economy has increased, we felt it was important to communicate to consumers which products in the Mobil 1 family offer the greatest potential for improved fuel economy. Mobil 1 Advanced Fuel Economy oils are engineered to deliver outstanding engine protection while improving fuel economy.

The 0w only refers to flow at cold temperatures. Once the oil is at operating temps it's a 30 wt.
So 0w30, 5w30, 10w30 are all the same in a hot engine. Some just flow better when cold.

I see no reason not to use a 0w oil.

Another thing is because these rating are a viscosity range some 5w30 oils are actually thicker than some 10w30 oils at operating temp. It took me a while to accept that but it's true.

Mobil 1 isn't my oil of choice but it certainly isn't bad stuff.
Marketing spin? yeah... Is it any different than Royal Purples claims of higher horsepower?
