Default Bed rust in ocean areas

I am building a tonneau cover for my 98 1500 LB; the bed is very scratched inside (many places down to the metal) from lots of use. Calling around to the Rhino and Line-X dealers they are quoting around $500 for a spray-in bedliner. Having just moved next to the ocean from the Midwest, is aggressive rust from the salt air a problem for you Florida types WRT structural integrity (don't really care about looks, plan to drive this one as long as I can) or would a bedliner not be worth it on a truck with 120K?

If you're going to keep the truck for awhile I would definitely recommend a Line-X. I had rust from exposed metal in my bed but I didn't wait long enough to see if damage from the Florida or California coasts would cause more than surface rust.
