I'm gonna start saving. With lower emissions would we be able to get clean pass stickers? that would be a cool plus. Also wonder if our loud trucks would still be loud I would assume yes but don't know.

Uh, that's a no brainer regarding the emissions. As I stated either here or in another thread, I drove CNG/Gas bi-fuel vehicles over 12 years ago in the military. I noticed an immense lack of power; however, that limitation may have been overcome. While running on CNG, it almost smelled like the exhaust from a gas dryer venting from a house.

Well I dont think the 15 psi coming out of our gas well is going to cut it........need some sort of compressor station. Im talking free gas from the gas well not purchasing it from a station.

There is no "free gas". Either way, you're paying for it.

Yes we do, but we only have to pull the rods out of it every 15 years or so and the water needs to be pumped offevery week.

A fellow where I work has converted his F150 to a Bi-Fuel setup. He gets about 22mpg running CNG versus 21mpg with gasoline. CNG here is .91/gallon and the price stays locked for a year. His fuel consumption bill dropped to almost $100/month. The plus is that both the State and Federal Government allow tax credits for the conversion, meaning it's all free. I figure that it would take me 10 months to break even, but with the tax breaks, I'm sold. I am going to do both my VW and my Dodge.

Only one station near me and its $2.74 a gallon. If i drive 80mi and take a fairy to victoria its $0.66 a gallon.
I have natural gas to the house but installing a compressor and a storage tank seems pricey and scarry.I'm sure it takes alot of P.S.I. to compress the gas into a liquid.
