Similar looking to the K&N, Brute Force, etc.

Go with the Volant or the 14x3 round setup.

I agree. Go with the round air filter. Those just look like a short ram intake to me

I can't figure out how to justify 2-300 dollars for those things.

For $270, that's a bloody rip-off. You can get a K&N FIPK for that (which is an actual trusted brand name) or just get a Mopar Performance air cleaner for a third of that price.

The Volant kit is of much better construction then the K&N (I've had both), and the Volant actually has an enclosed filter and sucks air from outside the engine bay. Don't pay full price for it though, catch it on sale if you want it. (I've seen it on eBay for under $250.)

Not saying K&N is of poor construction, just saying the Volant is better.

That being said, most people would rather spend less and go with the 14x3 round setup. See the "FIPK No More" thread for details.

Yes K&N is a "Brand Name" But after running one on my diesel I will never use K&N again they dont filter for ****. Any way I was not trying to step on any toes or anything. I just herd about them and know that they seem to be prety popular with the F-150 croud. and they look to be good quality and thought I would shair. Thats all.
