Shock Replacements
I want to replace my shocks on my 2000 Ram 4x4 and don't know which shocks to get. Should I go to the dealer and get the replacement shocks or go with a better shock? Which shock is good for a 2000 Ram 4x4? I have heard good things about the Bilstein shocks. Anybody try them? Does anybody know the Bilstein part # for a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 5.9 with the stock height?
I have the Monroes and I like them. Many here that do some off-roading (and some who don't) like the Ranchos too, which are made by the same company as Monroe ones. It mostly just comes down to personal preference.
Some like Edelbrock IAS shocks, and I used to, but now looking more into it I've heard they are just relabeled KYB shocks.
Here are the Bilsteins you asked about:
Front, part number BSN-F4B462129H0
Rear, part number BSN-F4B462130H0
Those are about $62 a piece, I've also seen them new on eBay for cheaper.

i have the bilsteins i love em!! i have the 5100's for a 2in lift. they work very well. if you dont like a stiff ride then they probably arent for you. but if you are tired of body roll, and everything else. they really improve handling. but considering i had stock shocks with well over 160k anything was an improvement!
i would say buy them!! if you can afford them.

Stock shocks at 160k??? Holy crap. Mine didn't have quite 60k on them, were worn out, and replacing them with my Monroes was an improvement. Can't imagine the improvement you saw.
