i have a 1999 dodge ram, my mom was driving it since i had the other car and the abs and the brake light came on in the dash, then the brakes got mushy, what could be the problem and how much am i looking at for it to get fixed, any help would be appreciated, thank you

 

that happened to my 99 and then all of a suddent the brakes let go so id get it checked out its one of the sensores that arent working.

 

yeah thats what i thought, it was my grandpas truck but he died in feb and handed it down to me, he had a problem with the breaks sometime last year but i didn't ask what was the problem, hopefully it will be a cheap fix as i'm going to be trading it in for a car since me or my mother have no need for a truck
