Big boost on loan
I am not saying to keep it going for the term but if you pay on it for a year it will do a lot more to help your credit rating and the amount of interest will be very minimal. Either way glad to hear you got it going again and maybe if I get to make a trip home this summer I will look you up.
hopefully the loan has simple interest if it does then they prolly gave you a total ammount you will pay for the life of the loan.
the smartest thing to do would be to sock the money you want to use to pay off the loan into a savings account then set the loan to automatically withdraw from that account two or three days before the due date... trust me it'll look much better on your credit rating then paying it off extremely early (speaking from the hard luck expierence club here)

I somewhat switched gears. Right now I have $2,300 from taxes. I own my aunt $2,500 for helping me buy the truck last summer.
So I put $1,000 into the loan. And I paid my aunt $1,300. It had been about 3 months since the last time I paid her a payment. So she was happy to see that. Of course when she found out that I put a $4,000 transmission into the truck, she hardly wanted to take the money. But I will continue to pay monthly to have a record of consistent payments, and whenever I get big amounts of money, I'll just keep dumping it towards the loan, like the IRS check.
