Default Key Fob

I cleaned my battery terminals today, and now my key fob doesn't work. I read an older post on here about reprogramming, but I couldn't get it to work. It kept talking about pressing the Panic button, which I don't have...just Lock and Unlock. Anyone got any tips?

If you don't have at least one fob still programmed, you can't program anything. You'll need to get it reprogrammed at a stealership.

Its also possible that its broken, in which case there are fobs on eBay you can get (original used fobs) that work great after new batteries and programming.

So it would probably be cheaper to buy one of the universal ones and do it? I only had the one...and now I have none.

These aren't universal. But you will still need to have a dealership program it for you.

Another alternative is to forget the factory keyless entry and use this as an excuse to go get yourself a Viper security system. They range in price from about $130 to $380 at Best Buy (basic install included), depending on which model you get, but all include keyless entry. And if you're not afraid of doing it yourself, you could probably get them cheaper.
