Default STEERING

I have a 2000 ram quad cab 4x4, i just replaced both sway bar links which seemed to tighten up the steering, but after driving it about five to ten miles theres a loose , knocking feeling which travels up the steering column its driving me nuts, i look but cant find anything. after the truck sits for a while the steering feels nice and tight again until driven a few miles then i can slowly feel it starting again to get loose. it feels like its more in the suspension than steering, you can feel it when applying the breaks and starting out any ideas?

Not sure if you have a stock steering stabilizer but, a worn shock could do this. It's fine while it is cool but as you drive it warms up and bubbles start to form in the body basically rendering it useless. No or bad shocks up front would cause you to have a loose feel and may knock around some if the shock valve ismaking noise. Loosen the nuts that hold down the top shock basket. If the shock pushes it up, it's good. If it stays down without the nuts, you got a blown shock.
