Natural gas
moe in wichita ks
i ran propan one time. i found that i lost more hp than people told me. i was told that i would lose 10% but i think i lost 20%. i figured out why, a gas fuel takes up LOTS space in the intake ports, this limits the amount of air that can go in. a 318 has very small ports, it doesnt any port size to give up. also propan has a octain of 130 but 8.5 cr cant take advantge of it. but at temps 30 to 50 propan ran much better than carbutors. no flat spot and soomtherbut at 20 and lower it had to warm up before it would go down the road.this may not happen withnatural gas, if itsnota liquid. dont forget propan and natural gas are heaver than air, this means if you are working on the system ininside be sure you haveventalation. if you have a hot water tank in the garage you may want turn it off, dont foreget the piolt light.

moe7404 i know for a fact that natural gas is not heavier than air just so ya know i do agree with ya on the ventilation idea my dad used to have a van that ran on natural gas but got rid of it cause we didn't have a fill station nearby so he sold it (it was a dodge) but since we have natural gas at our house for heat i might as well take advantage of it

If it is not an EPA/Carb kit you will not get a TAX credit/deduction.
If you have a place to get local filled then you may be fine.
You will experience a power loss, but with a kit you can switch it to gas for the power.
