My new exhaust
Got the Magnaflow cat and the Flowmaster Super 44 on today. It as a great sound and at 55mph I am turning a few less rpm. My old system was stock 13 years old, and was restrictive to say the least. The Magnaflow was in two pieces, not three so that was nice. The guys at the muffler shop where able to re-use my oxygen sensor and the old tailpipe which was stainless, so no cost there.
Total cost: High flow cat to me $188
Flowmaster Super 44$ 89
Install and weld up $152
Total$429
I am very happy. The old Dodge finally gotits voice. I would recommend you do this if you still have stock parts...NOW. I wish I would not have waited so long.

yeah.. what a difference it can make to your ego huh?? LOL last week I got the headers, Hi-flo cat and went the usual 40 route..plus the TB and RR's.... sounds like a damn truck now...
( have gotten 2 complaints so far.. I go to work at 3AM and warm it ten minutes before leaving..LOL ) Mine was 520 with the stainless tips... if I had done all bolt on myself I'm sure this would be way cheaper...but my overtime is killing me so....[:@]

The Maganflow MPE-23285 needed about 3 more feet of pipe. it comes with no clamps, gaskets or bolts. They welded the cat, clamped and welded both ends of the pipe, clamped and welded the muffler. They did it in about an hour. It just so happens the guy doing it had a sweet 2nd generation too. That was worth every penny of $150 to me. Plus, those guys have families to feed too.
When I walk through the door my wife said some teenager was reving there engine in our driveway, and to go take care of it.
I was suprised at the quality of the super 44 and the cat pipes. Good stuff.
Sitting at the light you do bounce sound off other cars-just idleing. I can't wait to pull up next to one of those stupid guys playing rap way too loud.

Gene 563: I would have no way of knowing how to get that on the internet. I can't even get my list of stuff on my truck to show up under the things I write! I have the add signature box checked and have written it on both sections of the profile. No good.
Yes, I just put on my flowmaster super 44 cat back on. It sounds great. I still have stock cat. have to wait a while to replaced that too.

That's awesome man. I've got my Magnaflow MPE-23285 sitting next to me just waiting to be put on. I got my stock manifolds off today and then it started raining on me. My new gaskets should be here Monday so then I can put my new headers on and hook them up to the Magnaflow. I'm just going to y off of the cat assembly and go dual pipes from there. I'm glad you're happy with how it sounds though. I really like the Super 44's too, but I just think I'm more of a "no muffler" kind of guy.
blkbaretta: The sound is just right, just as it should be. No highway drone. Much more pedal for me as my system was so old. It really makes the fart-can tuner cars sound like Kawasaki 100's. When you rev it there is a sort of popping cherry bomb type of effect when it comes back down.
When you install your MPE-23285 you will need about 2.5-3 feet of pipe to reach the muffler. I thought it was cool that after 13 years my stainless tailpipe was still good and did not need to be replaced.
