From dodgeram.info:
Fault Code 37 - Torque converter clutch solenoid CKT or Trans temp sensor too high or low -
Open or short in CKT wiring or connectors. Voltage out of range at transmission temperature sensor input.
It also says for 1995 Ram models, "the trailer towing package includes a transmission coolant temp sensor while the standard package doesn't. The fault code detection system is probably the same for both models. This could cause the low (no) voltage indication....no sensor to send any voltage."
Hope that helps.

wow, this is weird. If you search, my jeep has been having similar problems, I replaced the tranny and it hasn't worked right since.(my jeep has the same drivetrain as our rams). Ive changed over 750 dollars in parts and I finally took it to a mechanic. It has been there since wednesday and he hasn't figured it out yet. When he does I will be sure to add to my previous topic.
As far as the tranny part i really cant help but the engine thing i might. My work truck sat all winter because I work in a gravel pit an we dont make much material in the winter so thre was no need for a service truck. went to start it thrusday same problem hard start, bad idle, didnt want to run. I gave it some gas an put it in gear an drove it locally for about 20 mins an after that it starts right up an runs great
hay guys a figured out why it would not run it was the externally c5rank sensor i must of bumped it when i put the tranny in !!!! and thanks for all the posts... now i just have to figure out why in throwing code 37............
