Default 95 ram stalls while driving! Please help

My95 5.2 auto2wdtruck has started stalling lately. Doesnt matter if its hot or cold, anyRPM range, acceleration or decelleration it cuts out dead! The speedo and Tach drop to zero to.

If i pull over, turn the key off and put it in park/neutral it will fire like nothings happened after 10 seconds.

I have replaced the crank angle, EGR (cause it threw up a code), new iridium plugs, leads, cap, rotor, air filter, good spare coil... and none of them have made it any better.

It has stalled a few times after shifting into 3rd.

It started doing this a few days after i put the iriduim plugs in but im going to change them back to conventional plugs tomorrow and see if it helps.

I am thinking it could be either a faulty PCM, it dont like the iridiums or has dirty earth straps.

Hoping some of u can help me with this... PLEASE!

PS: living in Australia doesnt help this situation cause no body knows wat my truck is so im left to sort it myself

I would have suggested the crank sensor or coil as a place to start, sounds like you've already done that. clean all of your grounds, check your fuel pump... should have 49 psi +/- 5psi. when it stalls, turn the key on and listen for the pump, should kick on for 2 seconds, then off. there is a schrader valve on the fuel rail so you can measure the pressure.

Yes, definitely check that fuel pump. The Iridiums shouldn't matter, have them in mine and I like them.

Had a car once that would stall while running. It turned out to be a vacuum hose. Cheap fix but was hard to find.

mine is doin that every now and then, it trows up the "no bus" signal in the odometar screen, sometimes it dont fire back up. i turn the key and cant hear the fuel pump come on, so i follow the wires where they connect rite behind the driver side front tire disconnect them for a few seconds and plug them back up and pump kicks on and fires up, i am goin to run a bypass for my pump to keep it running and see if that is the problem, this is on my 1999 dodge ram 1500 5.2l. im hoping its only the fuel pump for u and me both

Thanks guys. Yer i havetested the fuel pressure and i put a new walbro pump in about a year ago.Every time i turn the ignition on it always kicks in and hear the relay flick it off.
Problem is it doesnt sputter or nothing it just goes dead and no matterhow much u kick theaccel pedalit dont do nothing. Ihave had it running numerous times and moved everythingin the engine bay and nothing makes itdo it. Im starting to think the PCM has had it cause it seems to cut all power to everything on the engine but doesnt affectdash lights, head/tail lights or radio.

Does anyone know where i can get a new or good second hand PCM? Its a 1995 1500 2wd 5.2 auto.

cheers

Simmo
