Be there when he does the shift kit , interesting indeed , This shift kit is not the kind you install with the trans installed like the jr kits are , and you will love how she shifts , firm , but not jerking , question for u ? how did you install your trans temp sensor ?

i drilled a hole in the pan as the instructions prescribed. the sensor is in the corner out of the way of any of the internals. I also tacked the nut inside the pan so i just unscrew the sensor and it acts as a drain plug

HEy i am new to this forum thing and i have a few questions about my truck. its a 97 5.9 360 long bed 4x4 ive and i was out duck huntin and kind of sunk my truck and water got in the trani and it blew up a few weeks later. I am courious how much trouble is it to have it converted into a 5 speed instead of a automatic. And how much would it cost about.

it sounds like it is making enough pressuer to up shift. These transmissions make more pressure when in nuetral so that explains why shifting to nuetral helps. Time for a rebuild I would think.
