summit intake

Has anyone used the summit brand cold air intake I'm either getting that or the Green brand any reviews would be helpful.

Yup why not go with the round air cleaner or the edlebrock pro flo triangle air filter. Both better options imo.

more air = more power.

But does more hotter air = more power
or does less colder air = more power

personally I am still using the stock filter, but I am going to go with a round air cleaner when mine needs replaced, for one reason. It looks better, and it reminds me of my dads truck when I was a kid.

Thers so much room in the engine bay of our trucks that it has enough cool air to pull from with a round filter. The advantage of a CIA pulling from out side the truck is negated by the long pipe it has to travel through to get to the engine. Plus the money you save by getting a round filter can be put to other mods... say fastman TB.

**** i got a cheapo cai off ebay 40 bux i think it was it suck great air it has a 18" long by 3.5 pipe and i got a effin huge k&n filter on it and it works great i think....my.02 jay

you can always wrap the intake tube if it's aluminum, the plastic ones dont heat soak near as bad if at all.
