Default Any pictures of 5% and or 20% tint?

I wanted 5% tint on my front windows of my truck to match the rears which are tinted at 5% over stock. Well, the fronts would I guess be a little lighter. Anyway the guy at the shop said he wouldn't do 5% on the front and tried to talk me into a 20%. I have 35% now and don't like it at all. It's way too light. I mean I can just look through it easily. Anyway I took a sheet of 20% out to my truck and held it up to the window and didn't like it much more than my 35%. It looked good inside the shop but out in the sun I could easily see through it. I mean it was darker than now but not dark at all. It was overtop of the 35% on the window now and the other side would have been 35%. I know it will be darker with 20% on the other side too. He told me 20% would be about what the rear windows looked like on my truck before I got 5% put overtop of that. I liked them okay but they were still way too light which is why I got them tinted over. You could see through them.

Basically what I want is for no one to really be able to see in the truck. I don't know why I like that look but I do. I'm not sure if I will change it at all. I'm thinking since 20% is all he will do I may just stay with my 35%. The biggest reason to have it redone is the 35% is faded some but doesn't look horrible. If I don't want to be able to see in is 5% the only way to go?

Do any of you have pictures of 20% and or 5%? Also how about pictures from the inside out? I'm curious to just see how I like 20%. Also what do you guys that have it think of it? Can you see in it? What about out of it?

Thanks.

You might want to be careful on how dark you go. Set aside the fact that some cops will be a pita on this, but at night, especially when it's raining, you'll find that it is very difficult to see clearly. I had a car with dark tint on the sides and back. It was awesome during the day!!! I absolutely loved it. The tint kept the inside of the car so much cooler and was very comfortable to drive. At night, it took a while getting used to the limited visibility. The first time I drove at night while it was raining, I was nervous. I had to be paying very close attention to my surroundings because it would have been very easy to miss a car next to me when switching lanes, or traffic at an intersection.

As for cops, I got pulled over for "speeding" - I wasn't, but he used that as a "justifiable" reason to pull me over and harass me about the tint. I received no tickets and he really never even talked about my "speeding", but he did tell me that I had to rip off the tint, or carry proof that it was not beyond legal limits, and if he ever saw me again in his jurisdiction with the tint still on, I had better have the proper documentation or I was going to be fined. I never saw him again, but I was always paranoid after that.

I have crappy tint on my truck right now. I don't know what the previous owner was thinking when he put it on, but it's better than nothing for now. I too will be getting the darkest tint I can get away with, but I also know what I'm getting into from past experience. There, now you have my $.02 on the subject, but with the way the economy is going, I'm sure it's not even worth that...

I have 35% tint on mine and it is alright. I had 20% on my bronco and it was awesome during the day, but at night changing lanes and trying to backup was really hard. I would love to have darker now but the 35% is legal, so it is better then nothing. This is just my .02

You signature picture looks about like mine when the sun hits it maybe lighter. I don't like the 35% as when the sun hits it it isn't dark at all. When you had 20% could you see in it when the sun hit it? I basically kind of want my windows black.

Thanks. I sort of know what I'm getting with 5% as I've had it on this truck and a previous truck both although the previous one was just 5% no factory. I liked it but have never had 20% so not sure what I'd be getting with that.
