I gutted my CAT and havent had any CLI for the 02 sensor (been 1000 miles or so). If it does go off, there are some O2 simulators you can buy to plug into the sensor port, and it will fake out your PCM. I know I have seen them somewhere here on the forum, a quick search can probably point you in the right direction.

My converter went bad on my 95 ram and bought an off road Y pipe assembly from Jegs for like $130 that had all the O2 sensor bungs welded in. It bolted to the exhaust and all just like a direct replacement. I have since taken that off for true dual exhaust and still have it lying around the shop. Willing to unload it if you are interested. It's in very good shape.

What about putting in a new exhaust system? That would solve my problem instead of going through all the hassle, correct? Sorry for all the questions but thank you all very much for the help!

Just throwing in my .02, you can easily gut your cat and slap it back on, OR just about any tire and muffler shop will perform the straight pipe mod for about $40, or at least that's what I paid to have mine done. It's not illegal for off-road use... you... DID say this is for your off-road use only vehicle... right?

I just got done installing a Magnaflow cat on mine and it took an hour and forty five minutes. And thats only because it took almost a half hour getting the adapter out of muffler so I wouldn't F it up! Nothing like having the right tools.
