I have not checked lately as I have not been approved for the loan to fill it up yet. haha

Actually I am just about to replace the fuel pump and have not filled my truck up in awhile. I am hoping that when that is replaced, the hypertech programer III and the new exhaust installed it should be better. Before that though I was averaging 13 on hwy and very bad in town. The best I have gotten is 15 on hwy. I can still average 11 pulling a 3500 lbs boat.

It is a truck and I will accept the fact that it will not get the mileage thatmy wifesNeon gets.

Well, I filled up yesterday. 20.6 Gallons with 383.7 miles = 18.6 MPG's. That's still better then I was getting before I started experimenting. I guess that is luck?

Hey man, I can see from your post you aren't trying to bash, just pointing out my own words to me. No harm to my ego, as I think I can take a little critisizm, especially when I make myself look like an *** on the internet [sm=smiley20.gif]. I admit, I was basing my numbers off the position of my gas guage, and the miles I had traveled. I should not have done that, because the gas guage is never as accurate as we would like. I filled up when the gas light turned on, which was right under a quarter of a tank, and that's how much it filled up to.

Once I get some money, I plan on down grading a size in tires (I bet that's a first on this site for a 4X4 guy) and doing the routine fluid changes. A few things fixed, and the truck will run like new, just not look it
I got to thinking that you have a reg. cab and short box which helps in weight and mpg. Yeah, the gas gauges are extremely weird in these trucks. I can go 70+ before the needle will move and then get 250 before it reads "half" but only 100 mi after "half". But the most I can get in the tank is about 22 gal no matter how long I leave the needle on the last notch. So when it's pegged at empty there's still 4 gal in there? Weird. It makes it hard to guess what the mpg is until I fill back up and calculate. Which I can't even do anymore because the stupid gas stations pumps shut off at $75. How retarded is that? Don't they want me to spend more and give them more money? With all the trucks and suvs out there with tanks as big as mine, you'd think they would change the pump. In a word, asinine.
