Is it coming from the dash or engine compartment?
Does it go away soon after startup?
Does it happen when driving straight, turning, 4wheel, etc?
"Clank clank clank" sounds like a loose cow bell to me. Can you explain it a little better?

LMAO@ loose cowbell!!![sm=roll.gif]

Yes, clank clank clank can be many things. Does it happen when the a/c is turned off? I had a clank clank clank noise shortly after I purchased my ram and rebuilt my tranny... turned out to be completely shot rod bearings that resulted in a new short block shipped to my front (garage)door. Please provide more detailed information if possible.
