Default Where to get the spicer Ujoints

Where do I get the spicer front axle u joints for my truck?

I killed the normal "brute force" u joints from auto zone in 30k miles. Auto zone told me they dont carry spicer ujoints for my truck.

Where would I get them and waht part number are they?

Thanks

Check maybe Fishers I know they carry some Spicer stuff or you could always go OEM from the dealer as aren't those Spicer ones?

No, they may be the spicer brand, but if I remember right from when I replaced these the first time alot of people here told me that there is another type of spicer that is for the dana60 or somthing that is alot stronger and will last longer than any stock replacement.

I would really like to get somthing with a grease fitting also, these that I have now are compleatly missing the needles on 2 of the "prongs". its making a pretty nasty noise as I go down the road.

the spicers are 5-760x. There not greaseable but 20% stronger then the stock spicers. Ive heard that greasable joints are weaker bc they have less metal in the center of the cross for grease. I got them at a 4x4 shop in upstate ny. EMS offroad also sells them. Im in the middle of replacing mine and have been having trouble getting the axle hub nut off. Does anyone know if you can heat up the nut without damaging anything on the hub assembly.

Ya, you can heat the nut up without hurning anything else, just dont get it so hot that it spreads into the hub.

If your having a problem with the nut, just wait untill you have to get the hub from the steering knuckle.

Four Wheelers Supply in Phx will ship them. I would've thought a NAPA store would have them as well.

I heated it up today and came out easy with my impact wrench. got everything apart but the joint is frozen solid. Tried the hammer/ Vice and sockets trick but no luck. I dont want to bend the yoke so im gona bring it up to a shop to have them pressed out.
