Pics of my truck...
Hey guys, well im stoked off this website. I have read a lot and learned so many new things. I have just started with the mods on my truck in the past couple weeks. Here it is...1999 5.2L, V8 Mag, Manual, 5.5" fabtech suspension lift sittin on 35" tires, jet preformance chip, and super 40 flowmaster, single in dual out, after market tail lights and third break light and some side black coated side steps, and one mud flap... And for the apline speakers, i cut a hole for the tweater to stick out because it was bulging if i didnt. Soon ill get an airfilter and hopefully new headers too. So much to do though but it is fun so far!

I recommend getting rid of the JET chip. It actually will hurt your performance, not help, and it can eventually work its way loose to the point where it will come unconnected enough to shut the engine down.

hmm...what preformance will be taken down? When i installed it, i notice that i could stay in each gear longer, noticed the hp gain. Have had it in for about 6 months and it is still in tact strong. \\;Yeah my other mud flap fell off! I have been looking for the duplicate of that one on the internet but they all have curved edges on one side... And it is also been a suprise when ive seen another purple truck like mine, wish i saw more!

You lose power. I've heard and read nothing but bad about JET chips and our trucks. If you want real gains, go for a SCT, Hypertech, or a Superchips, or maybe a flash by B&G. The first and last in that list are the best from what I've gathered from the forum, but I don't have the experience to give you a first hand account.
