Amsoil, wix, or K&N... hell even puralator makes a decent filter.

I'd stay away from fram though.

 

Even in the motorcycle world it's suggested to stay away from Fram. Are they made in China?
It seems when you see Made In China consider it a warning label

 

Yes I'm very interested in why no one likes fram. I mean it doesn't really make a difference to me, but I see everyone saying that, and its just very interesting?

 

Mobil 1 PN: M1-301 its a taller filter and fits the exact same.

 

I use Motorcraft FL-1.Best for the money IMO.

 

most filters are made of a metal screen tack welded to a metal frame. Fram is made with a paper filter rubber banded to a metal frame. If the rubberbands in the filter break the filter will slide down and not filter the oil anymore.

 

Napa GOLD filter is a rebranded Wix. Very Good filter IMHO.
