10-15 MPH Vibrations..
A few months ago I posted a thread about how my truck vibrated between the speeds of 10 and 15 MPH. Most people replied that it was a U-joint, so I checked the U-Joints and it was the rear U-Joint on the rear drive shaft. I replacedthe U-Jointand made sure to put the driveshaft back in the same spot it wasand it only fixed it a little bit. It seems to be back to the same amount if vibration that it was before but now all the driveshaft U-Jonts are good, both drive shafts and all 4 U-Joints. So what else could cause the problem. It only does it between the speeds between 10 and 15 MPH and it does it in neutral and drive.I am trying to sell it and Im pretty sure that thevibration will turn awayany potential buyer. Its a 97 Ram 1500 4x4
It is out of alignment, but I'm pretty sure that its always been a bit out of alignment since I've had it and its just now started doing it, but I guess I should get it aligned no matter what seeing is to how im supposed to be trying to sell it.
Plugs and wires only have about 10k or so on them so Im sure their good
The tires are mud tires and since its out of alignment, the front ones are cupped out real bad so...Maybe thats its causing it ,
And as for the pinion, How do you know if its bad or not? I dont know how to check it? And just to make sure, your talking about the pinion gear thats in both diffs?
