Dana 44 Front Seals leaking.. Which one I here theres more than one an how do I change them..

It's not too bad with the right tools. You'll need 2 special tools. A case spreader and seal installer. The case spreader is not always required but sure makes it easier.

There is one seal on each side. Left side requires removing the diff, and right side the CAD and intermediate shaft.

Once the diff is out the left side is easy , but the right side you are gonna need the seal installer to do it right.

Iv'e done it many times so I might be making it sound easier than it really is. Once it's all apart you need too clean the inside of the tubes out also , so when you put it back together the axles don't put dirt back on the seals and in the splines.

There is a lot more involved in the procedure but it's not hard, just time consuming. And I wish they would fix this freakin site!

Thanxs my friend @ dodge made time for me.. 450 bucks for install.. and a bearing check.. they were done bout 50K ago..
