Drivetrain fluids 4x4

RE: Drivetrain fluids 4x4
Sorry the forum was acting up.
I purhcased a 2001 Ram 1500 4x4 from the state surplus. It must have been driven up every dirt road and mud hole in the state. So I would like to change All fluids. Axles, tranny, transfer case.
Other than OEM fluids is any other brands work the cost - redline, amsoil...
I'm a big fan of redline for the tranny and drivetrain in my other autos - whats best in the Ram?

Mopar ATF +4 only for me in these transmissions. That seems to be the best to run in the trannys. I'd run only it. You can get it at Walmart for $4something a quart vs the dealers $11 or whatever. Walmart sells Mopar stuff now. The transfer case takes the same transmission fluid.
As for the rest I run Royal Purple engine oil and in the front diff. I did run it in the rear but I put the Auburn LSD in and you are not supposed to use a synthetic oil with it so I switched to Lucas in the rear. I really like Royal Purple. Stuff. Amsoil is supposed to be good too but I'm a RP fan. I'd run it in most stuff other than the transmission.
The transmission just has soo many issues I would only run whats called for in it.

I was the same way with the atf+4 until a friend recommended it, and he drags his truck. made the switch and immediately notice better shifting over the atf4 stuff. wont go back now.
also on the rear, in my case I dont have clutch packs for the LSD, some sort of gear setup IIRC so running synth in the rear diff is not an issue.

i'm cheap. any name brand engine oil in 10w30 or 10w40. i've used havoline for a long time, but all of them are good. valvoline atf+4 in auto trans and t-case. do not use dexron or ford or universal fluid in the auto trans. it has to meet atf+4 specs. valvoline 80w90 GL5 in front and rear diff.
