Rough idle , lacks power
I have a 1999 dodge 2500 V-10 the truck has 247,000 miles on it and runs great most of the time. For the past 3 or 4 months I have had a problem that comes and goes. I will be driving and will come up to a stop and the truck will start to idle rough and will lack power when I take off under light throttle and will contiue to run poorly if a floor it it will bog for a moment then take off running like it should. It will also happen when I am driving it will lose power.I do not have a cel but I did once and it came back to a rich signel off the drivers side O2 sensor. I have checked the cats and they are clear and I put plugs in it but no change. Thanks for the help

RE: Rough idle , lacks power
I would start by removing the throttle body and cleaning it thoroughly. I repaired one once with a similar problem by replacing TPS(Throttle Position)sensor. Also, these engines are known for their cylinder head/head gasket problems. If there is a problem with the heads, it usually manifests as a cylinder misfire or overheating issues. Just some ideas to throw at ya.

RE: Rough idle , lacks power
I pulled the throttle body over the weekend and thoroughly cleaning it and It was very dirty. I was able to drive it a few times and it seemed to run better and did not lose power in the middle of driving it. It still seemed to lack power when the engine was cold. i am go to run some chevron cleaner in it and see what happens. Could ther be a problem with one of the o2 sensors?
Thanks for the help
