Default cooling systems

out giving the ram a cleaning after the mud bath she recieved at one of my sites this week, opened up the hood and noticed I have a little seepage from the weep hole on the water pump. so I was thinking of getting ready to replace it. but I got to thinking about possibly throwing on a electric pump, since I have some camaro fans sitting here... they wouldn't be too hard to modify to fit, and making a shroud wont be too much of an issue. combined with i need a new rad, it has a small pinhole leak at the bottom seam. figured I might as well do a totall overhaul of the cooling system.

so my big question is, who here has run an electric pump, and what are your thoughts on it. also who makes a good electric pump. and is there anything other than wiring, fuses realays and a controller for the fans that I need to have with me before I start this project? would this bee to much of a strain on my elec system since I plan on putting a 600w amp, and a 400w amp in, and I run a 1000w power invertor almost all the time?

thanks for the help
