There are no advantages to running without a tsat! Who said that?



And BTW kowboydmac do not use too much if any at all silicone on the tstat. I recomend not using any at all. Just clean and tighten to specs.

Hmmm. I wonder if that's what has been messing me up. I tried using a very fine bead. This time, I won't try any and see what happens.

but lets say if you are running a e fan your truck will run alittle bit hotter that with a clutch fan and removing the tstat will lower the temp while running with the e fan

pulling the t stat will cause you truck to stay in open loop and your mileage will be horrible. You'll also throw a code P1281 engine too cold too long.
