- What is the best, most consistent Thermostat out there? I've gone through two Stant 180* already, and both appear to be stuck open. The prior one warmed up just past 170 or so, and this one doesn't warm up at all. Is hypertech the only other brand out there?
Also, should I go with a designated "Thermostat Sealant" this time, or will my blue RTV that is "sensor safe" be fine?

- Does anyone have "speed bleeders" made by Russell or a similiar company installed on their calipers?

- Where can I find those torx bits that have the small hole in the center for specifically wiper switch installation and removal?

- Anyone have a DIY or a good explanation of installing JUST a muffler?

- I need to know all the schematics (sp) of the cruise control system. From my Haynes, I can tell mine doesn't work because I simply don't have the servo, located near the battery. Can't seem to find one either.

Thanks.

EDIT: The torx I need are "Tamper Proof"

Get an OEM stat from the dealer if you are having probs with a stant. And the torx you are looking for is called an "E" type. Unless of course your description is opposite what I'm thinking then you need a security torx set. Lisle and KD both make them. Usually available in most auto parts stores.

When I checked the "E" type, that was more of a socket for a torx. I don't need that, I need the torx that has a little circle in the middle of the torx itself. I'm only aware of them being for the wiper switch/ignition switch area

Then you need the security torx. Go to the lisle and KD websites and you will see. They are actually called "tamper proof".

Well if you are looking to do it now you can still check out your local parts stores. Doesn't have to be Lisle or KD. Auto Zone , pepboys etc.... sell cheaper brands.

If I ever have a daughter, and she ends up like my truck, she'll be so freggin spoiled she'll need counseling at age 21.
