Default Help No Bus Error!

Good afternoon Gang, I have a 2000 5.9L 1500 2wd that decided to shut down the Dash gauge package. If I turn on the truck the normal gauge time out happens, then one by one the idiot lights for ABS, check engine, low fuel etc stay on and the mileage reading will blink 4 times before showingthe Dreaded No Bus error. I am planning on removing the battery and to tightenand clean all connectors to see if I can resolve this issue. If anyone has seen this before please, I could use any insight to help me get this fixed. I hate flying blind!!! LOL Thank you for your time and effort.

im not too familiar with that but when you try to turn the truck on and all the lights do not come on it is your ignition switch, so be prepared just in case

Hey Gang,

Thanks for the input, I did find my issue. The suggestion of a fuse was close, it was the multi pin connectorunder the hood in the main fuse block. I pulled the connector after removing the battery power, once the connector was removed I had some corrosion shorting out some of the pins. Very light but just enough to shut my dash down, I cleaned the connector and socket with electrical cleaner ( Non conducting type) dried out the parts and reseated them. After putting everthing back to normal fired the beast up and had operational dash with noissues. Thanks again for all the help I really enjoy this board for all the great info and for the way folks will send suggestions your way about what they have seen! Have good one and Remember To Keep It In The Blue Groove!!
