Does the install kit come with gaskets and marking paint? Don't forget fluids. 4.88s? Sounds like you're missing a locker or LSD too.

the kits come with Contains all necessary components to install a ring and pinion and/or differential case: bearings, races, seals, adjusting hardware, pinion nut, locking and pattern checking compounds -

should i wait and save up for a locker you think? I would probably just put one in the rear since I don't get to do much wheeling of course thats b/c everytime I do i break somehting heh!

If you're going to tear it down to put in gears, you might as well put some sort of traction aid in there. MHO

for the front go from :YGD44-488
to :YGD44T-488 the T is for thick

I just put 4.88's in the rear of my truck, and am waiting to do the front, because you must also buy new ring gear bolts for the front, The stock ones are 3/8 and the new ring gear need 7/16", I have been told that is you order bolts for a newer jeep yukon with a d44 in the rear that it uses the 7/16, but I have yet to order any new ones yet

as long as you get the correct carrier, also since you won't get the thick gear, I'm not sure about the bolts, I would call yukon and ask them, so that you can get the correct bolts, so that you are not waiting for them like I am
