Default Stereo/Speaker problem

I installed 4 new speakers and a pioneer deck, and alls well until a couple days ago, 3 of the 4 speakers just do not work.

Wires are good, they had not been crackling so I don't see how they could have blown.

Any chance it's a fuse that can cause that?

If the deck is powering on I doubt it is a fuse.

I would check the wiring to the speakers to see if the polarity is correct. neg to neg and pos to pos.

If you have a stereo in the garage try them on it to rule them out as the problem of working or not

It has to be the speaker wire or something wrong with the deck. Put another speaker on that wire and see if works. if it dosent the deck isnt seanding signal.

Yeah maybe take a speaker thats not working and put a just short piece of speaker wire coming out of the h/u and see if it works. If it does I'd say your wiring has a issue. If it doesn't take the working speaker and see if it works. Do it on a different channel though. So like if the front left isn't working but the front right is try putting it on the output for the front left when you hook it up to the h/u directly. This should tell you if it's a wiring issue or speaker issue. If neither of these work it's probably the h/u. You can check and see if it's putting any power out.

Basically if it is the h/u you may be able to get it repaired not really sure but if it was me I'd personally probably just buy a new one.

I'm a fan of Alpine and Eclipse h/u's. Did you get yours used or was it new?

I agree with HTM, swap your wiring from one side that's not owrking to one side that is. if the speaker works, you know the wirings good. you can also put a multimeter ont he wiring and see if your getting power. 5 to 1 though you prolly shorted something out.

also you can disconnect from behind the hu youre speaker wires ... attach them to a 9v battery youll here a humm from the speaker its attached to .. no hum bad speaker or wire .. attach a known good speaker to rule out wire or speaker ,, im gonna bet on bad connections from behind the hu as you still have one speaker left .. most hu bythem selves will not have the power to blow the speakers to the point where no sound will come out ..
