Default possible tranny problems

tonight i had to go let my girlfriend in the gate of my sub divison.. and i pulled a u-turn to come back in and i went to give it gas... and its like the tranny kicked outta gear for a second then kicked back in... possible signs of it starting to go out? the truck has 86k on it right now...it has done this before.... or could it possibly be the rear axle going out again? any thoughts... thanks

Check the fluid level and condition first.
Then the linkage adjustment.
Start with the basics
