Default i need a bigger truck

well for those of you that know me I am always bragging that my truck pulled that 28,000lb trailer and then a week later the tranny went out, well today I was pulling around 25,000lbs, and when I pulled out into the street, the truck redlines 6,000rpm, then I heard some gears crunch, and it caught, I origally thought the rearend because its only got 1200 miles, then I thought the tranny cause its only got like 1800 miles on it, but I'm 99% sure that its the transfer case, yep, these trucks aren't as tuff as I need.

I've been talking to my dad alot and I think he's going to give me his 89 2500 and I'm going to put a 440 with 727 4.10's on stock tires, to do my work in.

A 28k lb trailer is much too large to safely tow with a pickup truck. You need a larger truck, with a larger driveline, larger motor, and larger brakes to safely do so.

Its a scary thought knowing that there are people like you on the road around us.

What'd you really think would happen? an 89 2500 probably isn't going to pull that load either without breaking something.

You need a 3500 dually with a cummins, helper springs, airbags, upgraded brakes, and you should probably have G load rated tires. at least E load rated.

When I gottahaul or tow something really gnarly, I suck it up and foot the fuel bill in this:

Long as you don't have to go fast, they're great. You too can own one for $5-$9k.

Question, if you killed your tranny pulling a 28,000 lbs trailer, why on earth would you try a 25,000 lbs trailer!!!

If this is your standard work load, a ram with lower gears isn't going to cut it!

What the hell do you do anyways!?

You're ****ting me? It's that cheap? Holy hell man that'd make an awesome tow rig for getting 4x4s out when they get stuf in the mud. Or to steal the axels off of...

Hell i'd use it to pick a girl up for the first date. With a bed of that size, just think of the possibilities!

But now I kinda want one, where are they at!

I am in the sod business. My trailer weighes just under four thosand pounds, and each pallet weighes just over four thousand pounds. I've towed six pallets before.
