I was going to say the same thing...may just need more. Took 2 cans to get mine to start working normally. I may even have had to add a partial 3rd.

If you not using a gauge you won't know for sure. Sounds low to me too.

if you have the right amount of freon in there, you need to check your sensors. First unplug the sensor on your accumulator, and jump out the connector. if the compressor kicks on and stays on well thats a good sign. Either have a leak and your loosing your freon, or the sensor is bad. Just replaced one on a friends truck(not a dodge). All the sensor does is let the system know there is enough freon in the system, if theres not the compressor wont kick on

I just had my condensor core under the dash replaced, it was leaking badly.

$758 to have it replaced.

You should have done it yourself. It's not that bad to do believe it or not. You could have saved yourself almost $700.

And why do people start threads and then never reply ? LOL

$180 for the part, and its located under the dash. I am not going to pull the dash myself. I just had a new addition to the family and its not a project i need to take on myself.

plus I don't have the tools I would need to decompress the AC system and then i would have to recharge it properly... plus while the dash was out, I had them test/check the heater core.

you are right, i could have pulled the dash out, but honestly... do I really want to?
