Default Auto Trans problem

i just got my second ram 1500 4x4 5.9 but this one is an auto trans.
the weird thing is that it seems to skip 2nd gear and the o/d button doesn't seem to do much maybe 200 rpm change
it drives good but at 60mph it's at approx 2700rpm is that normal?

also the oil pressure gauge drops to 0 at 1200rpm and then goes back up at 1500rpm?

any tips or advice?

just found a code 37 in the pcm

37**

Torque converter clutch
solenoid CKT or
Trans temp sensor
too high or low
Open or short in CKT wiring or connectors. Voltage out of range at transmission temperature sensor input.

anyone know how to check this?

How many miles do are your tranny? could be a number of things, maybe a broken band strut. As for the oil pressure it could be a bad sensor.

i was told the tranny has about 35000mi on it.

i talked to a tranny shop he said that i might have lost 2nd and 4th gear but maybe its a sensor not telling the tranny to go into those gears?

the pcm is sending a signal to the o/d solinoid but nothing happens?

after reading up on this i'm thinking that the front band maybe worn out or that the strut rod fell out. as for the O/D im guessing that the solinoid is not working.
let me know if any has had this happened to them.
thanks
