tuner question
I know I know I searched the endless posts on this topic and I just have one more question. I am looking at either the superchips 3715 or the hypertech 50004 both seem very similar from what I have read my question is does the hypertech havethe abilty to read and clear codes like the superchips model? this is going to play a big part in the decision here so any answers are greatly appreciated, as always thanx in advance fellas.

RE: tuner question
hypertech will read and clear codes. it usually (but not always) adjusts speedo for larger tires. it does NOT change shift points. it does add some timing advance. it does not turn your truck into a race car.
you can also read codes by doing the on-off-on-off-on key thing.
you can also clear codes by disconnect neg battery and turning key to on for about 30 sec.

RE: tuner question
I have the Hypertech and it's okay. I think it's worth the $160 I paid for it on this forum but I don't think it would be worth the $300 or whatever they sell for new. Thats just my opinion on it. The SCT seems to be the best way to go powerwise but it's just soo expensive where you can get say the Hypertech so cheap and have it do nice things like adjust your speedo on some vehicles, and stuff like that I don't think the SCT does.
