I have been all over the front end. The front wheels have nobearingplay. Dont quite understand the power steering suggestion?! I do not have a lift. I have never payed attention while in reverse. Wether I drive straight or turn there is that pop when the brakes are applied. No pop just turning the wheels. I can also feel it in the brake pedal not just the column.

That "POP" sound you hear happens when you run over Kia Rios and Honda Fits. Other than that sound as you crush them, you would never know.

Some of the noise may be coming from the little kid you have in the bed of your truck bouncing around!! JK..

I just ordered the steering column bushing for my truck.... will report back...
