Default POR-15?

I am removing my body lift and I thought I'd clean up the frame while I'm at it. I was thinking of coating it with POR-15. I've heard its really good stuff but then someone was sayin it didnt last long on his truck on pavement sucks. So I was just wondering if anyone has used it and what they recommend as a rust preventive.

I really like Por 15 +1 on Green you got to do the prep. Same rule as any paint. 1 hour prep for 5 min paint job

The prep is especially important with por15, but yes, I had great results with it when I coated my old Jeep's frame.

You gotta basically strip the frame down to the bare metal and then use the prep products on the metal to ensure a good bond.

Pic of the Por 15 parts I painted. I used the engine paint kit The Hyundai has been painted for four years, The truck 3 months. I like the engine kit because it comes with all the prep material

I thought Por 15 was more of a rust encapsulator than a preventer. To encapsulate you need rust to start with, etc. You might try a product called Zero Rust(they have a website). It seems to be more of a sealer than an encapsulator. I painted on the roof of one of my old cars many years ago before putting a new vinyl roof onno sign of any problems whatsoever.
