Default 98.5 24 valve Cummins Diesel

Hi all,
I have heard the issues that can come up with the 24 valve Cummins. I heard the fuel pump is not lubricated as well as the 12 valve and can have problems. I was wondering, what milagedoes this usually occur at? I saw a 1998.5 24 valve Cummins with 171k and a 5 speed manual for sale. Would the 24 valve problems be near on this truck, or do they occur at a much later milage? Also, I am interested in WVO conversion. How do the 24 valve Cummins handleWVO compared to the 12 valves?
Thanks,
Jack

Probably better to post in the Cummins sections.

The injector pump on the 24v is common to fail if the lift pump is weak or fails.
The Injector pump can go past 200k, it all depends on how the truck was maintained.
