I had a couple of questions about mods to my truck....1st are headers worth it? 2nd what kinda gears should I go with and whats in there now? 3rd should I buy a chip for the truck or a programmer and last do they make a shift kit for my truck and if so can someone post a link. Any other mod info would be great.

I HAVE HEADERS ON MINE AND A PROGRAMMER---THEY BOTH MADE WONDERFUL IMPROVEMENTS--HIGHER RPM'S AND YOU CAN TURN OF THE SPEED LIMITER OR ACTUALLY JUST RAISE IT----I HEAR THE CHIPS WORK OK , NEVER USED ONE---I PURCHASED A POWERDYNE SUPERCHARGER INSTEAD AND THEY SAID NOT TO USE CHIPS, YOU CAN GET SHIFT KITS BUT I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND IT UNLESS YOU INSTALL A BETTER TORQUE CONVERTER---THE CONVERTER WILL COME APART INSIDE FROM THE TORQUE AND PUMP SHAVINGS INTO THE TRANNY AND THEN IT GONE---HAPPENNNED TO ME

 

I have a 95 with the 318 also and was looking in to buying some headers. What kind did you put on your truck and was it hard to get them on?

 

If you get headers for the 5.9 360 what type are good to look in to? Should I go with the gibson shorties or go with actual long tubed headers and a true dual exhaust with high flow cats? I heard that headers usally leak often is this true?

My setup is flowmaster, kn intake, superchip, headers...i put them in in that order and with every mod i felt the gains. the kn complimented the flowmaster 40, and the superchips complemented those 2 together. with my headers, the truck continues to pull hard. I heard the best headers to go with for a 5.9 are the mopar long tubes. i got short stainless steel headers cuz of my bidget. go jba, gibson or flowtech
