Park it and let it dry out for a couple days! You have to remove and clean up all the plugs on the tranny and the VSS on the rear end and the 02 sensors to start with.

And check both front and rear diff fluids for water before you drive it again. And if the water was that high you need to check all the fuses by the door and all the relays and fuses in the PDC under the hood! But I would first leave it open and let it dry out a few days.

yeah im in no hurry to screw it up anymore. i checked the codes again and another one came up, now the 3 are P1757 (shift solenoid or govenor sensor?) P0740 (Torque Converter Clutch circuit malf.) and a 3-4 shift malf. code. damn this sucks, i will do as you said and check all wiring to the best of my abilities. thanks for the input!

drain all your fluids, and replace them. Spray electrical connections with WD-40 (wd means water displacemet)

I had some werid electrical problems after pressure washing the engine, but they went away when it dried up.

Your transmission might have water in it if it was that deep. They're not water proof.

Also how did the truck shut off? Did you shut if off cause you were stuck? Or did it stall out?

thanksmotorbrreath i plan on doing that tomorrow, and i got plenty of WD-40 so i will get to that as well.

cereal killer, as i plunged into the water the truck didn't die and i didn't turn it off either in fear i wouldn't get it going again, and i didn't want water going all up in my exhaust and such. whether or not that was a good idea i dont know, and i doubt my buddy coulda got me out without my tires spinnin as well, but who knows?

and now my alternator is squealin at me so i need to see what i can do there! the muddin trip was not worth all this crap!

You need to drain the tranny fluid for sure. There is no way you were up to the hood without the fluid in there becoming contaminated. I buried mine and it turned the tranny fluid to pepto-bismol colored liquid. I would not drive it anymore until all the fluids are changed and sensors cleaned.
