Reports on using acetone range from no harm whatsoever for many thousands of miles to engine damage within a couple hundred. A couple of testimonies I was reading from guys who mentioned they used on Dodge Ram 1500s of our model years said his injectors started going out after using it for a couple tanks of gas.

Others report damage to fuel pumps and valves. But, like I said before, some report no damage and pretty substantial mileage increases.

I think I'll just stick with the 87 octane.[sm=americanasmiley.gif]

What octanes do you have available 94Ramsey? 87, 93, and...? Isn't premium usually 91 or 93?

Around here, we usually have 87 (regular), 89 (plus), and either 91 or 93 (premium). 89 is laced 10% ethanol, and because of government tax breaks, the cheapest. Its what I put in my truck. Minnesota is currently 10% ethanol on all blends, and they are going 20% within the next couple years I believe. I'll make sure and stay away from that state, and my in-laws over there too...

You can keep bitchin, acidtone in time will kill your engine, restore is not biodegradeable, 137 miles on a quarter tank is not bad. You want cheaper Ethos, go to amazon.com I want someone who lives close to me to come and take a ride and see what 96k truck will do. I am 55 and used to rebuild Hemi engines back in the early 70s. It may not be cheap $53 for 32 oz. But you can get it half price at amazon.com 16 oz's will treat 160 gallons 160 x 16 = 2560 2560 divded by 13.5 = 189.6 x 4.09 = 775.5 dollors you want more, I think not

It would seem the reviews on amazonis very mixed.
it either worked for some, or it did nothing for others.
