This is from an OLD post but I've finally got enough miles on to give some concrete results. Had a problem with pinging. Tried Autolite, regular champions, and autolite platniums. All of them made the engine ping. Tried the Champion truck plug and that cured my pinging. Stock heat range, nothing fancy. Just my experiance.
