I have the 1535 air filter in mine and don't have any issues.

That's just how it was when I bought it. Might look funny in that picture but actually looks really good. When I had the exhaust redone I had it done the same way. That was the old one though. It's not a stainless steel tip but still mounted like that. It's like it's mounted even with the body since it's sideways. Just really looks good to me although without having seen it I would have thought it would have been odd.
