got a guy wanting to sell me a manual trans out of a 1995-96 dakota with the v6 he says. i want to put it behind the 5.2 i am going to put in my jeep. how can i tell what type it is, and would it even bolt up to the v8??

also, on a side question, is there any way to turn a trans that is 2wd to a 4wd?

 

I believe the V6 trannies are different than the V8 ones. I know they are on the autos, not 100% sure on the manuals.

Yes, you can turn a 2WD into a 4WD, but it involves lots of money. Beyond that, I'll let someone with more experience answer the questions.
