I HATE DODGES!!

It depends a lot on how previous owners took care of it, and you have to realize, these are 4x4s. They will have parts wear out faster than a car.
I have replaced front u-joints, ball joints (uppers and lowers), A/C clutch, shocks, and a leaf spring. As someone said before, its a seven year old vehicle. Mine went through two previous owners before it got to me. You expect no or very little repairs on a two or three owner truck, of seven years? You were dreaming.

I'm going to be honest here. I don't think these trucks are very reliable at all. Most cars have a common issue or two but these trucks just have one after another.

Yup even trucks that haven't been beat on have half these issues. Mine was used when I got it but not a spec of dirt or scratch on it you could tell it was a pure street queen as it was in perfect shape. You could tell it hadn't been beat on and I still had half these issues.
Just my pair of pesos, but I'd imagine that every car/truck/suv has its own forum with its own complaints as well. For every story of a guy who's had nothing but bad luck, there is a story of a guy who has 200,000 on his dodge and hasnt had any issues. I've owned Fords, Chevys, and my 97 Ram, and they all have their own quirks, just a labor of love I guess. I had 180k on mine before I ever had a wrench on it, not too shabby really, just gotta take care of your stuff (and hope for the best..haha)
Not to mention that those are all common wear items save the gearbox that are typically replaced on a vehicle on average by 150,000mi would be my guess....shocks are usually sketchy after 50,000 mi max (at least with the roads up here), u-joints are a common failure (espeically with cheap replacements), and thermostats should be replaced with every coolant change (has that even been done???) As stated, it's an older truck bought used. They certainly have their issues, there's no doubt. But be realistic.
