I HATE DODGES!!
Any personal experience with these "other makes", Hometheaterman? And you can't compare your suckering Honda to our trucks, its a small car, these are 4x4s.
(Giving you a hard time about the Honda, no offense.)
I personally disagree. They all have their minor issues, some are unlucky and get major ones, or get a used truck that was unknowingly abused by a previous owner. Most expensive issue I had with the truck was replacing the u-joints and ball joints at the same time, but only because I had a shop do it rather than myself. Cost me almost $800 all told.

$6000 of repairs on a $6000 truck is what the Insurance company would classify as totaled.

did i say anything about how much money you make. I merely said that 6k dollars in a 4x4 truck does not get you very much in the used market. what you buy will be used and you never know with a used vehicle. If that's all you can afford that's fine I don't look down on people that don't make tons of money at all. but don't expect to pay cheap and get a bunch
I understand people can have their opinions on what vehicles are repaired more but everyone has a different opinion. the people in the car world that have common sense understand that all cars break and to a point it's luck. overall it's fairly equal the amnt of ppl with bad experiences in each brand. I don't talk down on really any brands well... daewoo i do. but wtf it's a daewoo lol.

When I said a few hundred, I was talking about parts. I can do all the work myself. From what I've seen on here, the only thing I've thought would be over a couple hundred bucks in parts is a trans, but I knew that going in. I have no idea what it costs to take vehicles in for service, but if that is a serious concern for someone, then bite the bullet and pay 40k for a truck. The beauty of these forums is anyone with atouch of mechanical ability can find the info to do it themself.
